As part of welcoming the new season, the Pioneers gathered at The Connected Dome for a Coffee Session with the General Manager under the theme “Spring Fiesta: Celebrating New Seasons.” The session provided an opportunity not only to celebrate the arrival of spring but also to reflect on a significant milestone – achieving three years of fatality-free operations. This achievement holds great meaning for the Pioneers, highlighting the progress made in strengthening our safety culture.

The event featured a panel discussion hosted by the Sustainability Team and SHE Representatives. During the session, Pioneers honoured the memory of a colleague who sadly passed away in 2022, while also sharing critical safety messages that reinforced the importance of prioritising safety in every aspect of work and life. The gathering also welcomed new Pioneers, who were officially introduced and presented with welcome packs as part of their integration into the team.

To encourage participation and collaboration, departments checked in under symbolic “flower stages” – bud stage, early bloom, full bloom, and flourishing – reflecting growth and progress within the organisation. The programme was vibrant and engaging, featuring drama performances, and safety messages that celebrated the strides made in embedding a strong safety culture. The session concluded with a meaningful gesture, as the General Manager and Heads of Departments planted a tree in honour of the late Matthews Moanalo, serving as a lasting reminder of his contribution and legacy.
