October was a celebration-filled month. On 23 October 2025, Belfast Coal Mine hosted the Long Service Awards. The theme of the day, Rooted in Excellence, Rising Together,” is in recognition of the dedication, loyalty, and unwavering commitment of Pioneers who have been part of Exxaro for 5, 15, 20, 30, and 35 years.
The event took place at Will Chris Estate in Witbank, where the atmosphere was joyous, filled with pride, colour, and smiles all round.
During his address, Acting General Manager, Sizwe Moroku, expressed heartfelt appreciation by saying: “You are acknowledged and appreciated for serving the organisation this long. This day is about you. It is because of your contribution that Belfast is where it is today.”
He further commended their resilience, acknowledging that the journey was not always easy, yet they persevered. Sizwe concluded by encouraging employees to continue being ambassadors of safety and excellence, upholding the values that define Exxaro’s success.
As a company, Exxaro places importance on recognising people through events such as the Long Service Awards, because we know that without people, there is no Exxaro.
